SUMMARY:Fisher Farm Trail Work Day
DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, June 6th is National Trails Day. We hope you can get out and enjoy a trail that day. If you follow our social media account\, we will be featuring different local trails next week. \nFor our celebration\, we are going to offer a work day because we think the best way to celebrate something is to care for it. If you’d like to help\, join us at Fisher Farm Park to help install new signage to mark the entrances to our trails; help us paint blazes to mark our trails; or assist us with some light trail clean-up. We will provide all tools and supplies.  You only need to wear proper clothing & footwear and bring water.  We are doing this project in partnership with the Town of Davidson and funding is provided through a grant from the NC Trails Program. \nSign-up is required HERE.   \nBy registering\, you are agreeing to our waiver which can be found in the description.

SUMMARY:Beaty Park Invasive Removal
DESCRIPTION:This is an additional work day at Beaty Park to try and cut back the invasive species. \nBeaty Park is Davidson’s newest park and it’s a gorgeous space\, but it needs a little love.  A number of invasive species are thriving under the tree canopy and choking out the biodiversity that makes an ecosystem healthy.  Members of the Friends of Beaty Park are holding two invasive species removal events to drive back the most problematic plants by pruning these scrubs and treating their stumps. If you would like to help\, sign-up today. It promises to be a rewarding day in a beautiful place.  If you plan to attend\, sign-up here: SIGN-UP GENIUS.  Email carly@davidsonlands.org with any questions.
