DESCRIPTION:Celebrate National Moth Week by investigating the world of Moths during this special after hours program. Staff from Mecklenburg County will put up Moth Sheets as the sun goes down and we will welcome in these often overlooked creatures. Spend your time discovering their natural history as we walk back and forth between the sheets to see what the light brings in. Meet in the parking lot at 18232 Shearer Rd\, Davidson\, NC 28036 – West Branch Nature Preserve. Please wear proper footwear and bring a water bottle. \nSign-up is required HERE.   \nBy registering you are agreeing to our waiver which can be found in the sign-up description. \n

DESCRIPTION:Every tree\, trail and bird’s favorite race is back…Run For Green!  The only local race where ALL  the proceeds from your registration fees go directly back in to the things that make running and walking in our area so special:  the beautiful trees…the open green spaces…the cool streams…the greenways and trails…and all of the wildlife that cheer you on!  This is the 21st Run For Green but because we couldn’t hold the half marathon last year due to road construction\, this is our 20th HALF!  So lace up those shoes\, stretch your calves and get out and RUN FOR GREEN! \nRegister HERE for the lowest rates of the season. \nWe are introducing new courses and lots of exciting upgrades this year so join us or you’ll be GREEN with envy on September 26th.
