BEATY PARK CONSERVATION EASEMENT

Beaty Park in the snow

Located in the heart of Davidson along Beaty Street, Beaty Park is owned by the Town of Davidson and permanently protected by a conservation easement established and held by Davidson Lands Conservancy.  Permanent conservation of this park was strongly encouraged by community input during the public process to design the park’s function and planned improvements.

The Park covers about 20 acres of special land rich in tree canopy, ephemeral and permanent streams, wildlife habitat, a pond, and key open space for Davidson.  Park improvements are located in a building envelope recognized in the conservation easement, while about 18 acres of the Park will be kept mostly natural and effectively used as a nature preserve.

DLC partners with the town on management of the Park and actively stewards the conservation easement land. Restoration of the pond is planned following completion of the primary park improvements.
