How to Have a Flourishing Yard for Beauty and Wildlife

DLC, in partnership with the River Run Property Owners Association, is hosting an educational session on maximizing one of your most important conservation assets…your yard. Beth Wytiaz (DLC executive director), Andrew Sileo (Town of Davidson arborist) and Brad Vice (Landscape Consultant, Carolina Land Consultants) will lead a discussion on the importance of natives landscaping; choosing the right tree or plant; proper tree and plant care and other things you can do to support a healthy backyard. They will discuss hot topics like native versus invasive species; how to get a free soil test; and new Town programs. There will be a Q & A at the end and refreshments. This event is open to the public, both adults and students.
