Summer’s Walk Tree Planting
Mar 1 at 10:00 am - 12:00 pm EST
Replenishing Davidson’s urban tree canopy is one of DLCs most vital missions. Our goal is to plant 200 trees each year which we accomplish through a variety of community tree plantings that we hold during our region’s planting season (October 1st-March 30th).
DLC is kicking off our 25th anniversary year with a planting at Summer’s Walk. Summer’s Walk HOA has been a conservation partner, working to replace trees lost in the development of their community. On Saturday, March 1st we will meet at Carly’s Common. We will plant over 30 trees in different areas around the community that we have worked with the HOA to identify. DLC will auger the holes for easy digging and provide the trees, mulch, tools and trained Tree Masters to ensure the trees are planted properly. All we need are volunteers looking to have fun and leave a lasting impact in the form of a tree. There’s nothing better than watching a tree grow and knowing that you helped plant it.
All ages are welcome but children must have parental supervision. We have gloves but if you have some, you may want to bring yours’ as ours’ are well-loved. Please also bring a reusable water bottle and wear close-toed shoes. Sign-up is required HERE and by signing-up you are agreeing to our waiver which can be found HERE.
