Wilderness Calling: Night Sounds & Owl Prowl
Nov 15, 2025 at 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm EST
Join Davidson Lands Conservancy for our November Wilderness Calling offering: Night Sounds & Owl Prowl at Fisher Farm Park. When the sun sets and the world gets dark, you have to rely on your hearing to experience the world around you. Naturalist Rob Van Epps will discuss owls and other things that we hear in the forest at night. This exciting celebration of owls (and great excuse to enjoy Fisher Farm Park after dark) includes an overview of owls & other nocturnal creatures, a short hike listening for these amazing creatures and s’mores (as long as the fire risk allows for an open flame).
This event is open to all ages, but we will be walking in the dark with limited light.
Rob Van Epps is an avid birder, naturalist and wildlife photographer who lives in Davidson. He served on the Board of Directors for the Davidson Lands Conservancy for many years, including two years as the President. He continues to lead walks for the DLC and other groups looking for birds, butterflies, salamanders and any other critters out there.
