Celebrate National Moth Week by contributing to community science! We will venture into the dark and utilize citizen science tools to document as many species as we can. No experience needed at this family-friendly event. West Branch Nature Preserve; Meet in the parking area at 18444 Shearer Road; Davidson, NC. Adult participation required if under 18.

Prepare to be dazzled by the rich diversity of moths in our area with this evening activity, perfect for adults and older children. Bring your flashlight, bug repellent, phone/camera, and water bottle to West Branch Nature Preserve on July 24 at dusk. Local moth expert, Lenny Lampel, will guide us to different baited tarps that will attract many different Lepidopteran species we normally would not see, due to their nocturnal habits. We will gather at 8:30 pm at the West Branch Nature Preserve parking lot in River Run. Pre-registration is required, as space is limited. Sign up HERE to attend this exciting event!
