Join Davidson Lands Conservancy’s Fall NatureFest – Family Fun & Nature at River Run

Come join this family-focused celebration of the fall season and autumn’s wonders of nature. This is a FREE conservation-themed blitz suitable for nearly all ages, to be held Saturday, November 5 from 10 am to 12 pm along the West Branch greenway in River Run.

Event offerings will include live animals, bones and furs, nature crafts, and conservation-themed activities spaced along the West Branch greenway. Curious children and adults can enjoy the fall foliage while learning about nature’s preparations for winter, special birds and plants of the forest, and the interconnectedness of nature.  Joining the event will be Conservancy community partners, including the Town of Davidson, Carolina Raptor Center, Mecklenberg County Parks and Rec, NC Wildlife Federation, Woodlawn’s STEAMfest, Bartlett Tree Service, Steven Hughes, and World of Wonder. Special thanks to our Media Sponsor: News of Davidson.

This event will take place along the paved 1 mile stretch of greenway offering stroller and wheelchair accessibility, and making this the perfect outing for everyone!  Participants can enter the greenway from two locations where parking is available: the parking area at 18232 Shearer Road, Davidson, NC 28036; or along River Ford Drive at the entrance to the West Branch Greenway.

Rain date is Sunday, November 6 from 1 pm to 3 pm.  Please see www.davidsonlands.org for event details and rain date information and related announcements.  Pre-registration is not required – just show up!
