We know that in October, it’s time to get out our sweaters and coats for the cold weather that is coming.  The forest trees and wetland creatures, too, know that they have to get ready for the cold season.  How do they know it’s time? What kind of activities do the trees and wildlife engage in to prepare for the winter?

Join WOW and naturalist Theresa Morr as we explore the West Branch Nature Preserve preparing for winter.  This outing is for children and their families.  The minimum age is 4 years old.  We recommend long pants, boots, or sturdy walking shoes appropriate for muddy areas. Please no dogs or strollers.  Masks are preferred.  We will cancel only if there is heavy rain or strong thunderstorms.  (West Branch Nature Preserve – 18232 Shearer Rd, Davidson, NC)

Pre-registration is required. Click HERE to sign up.
