Have you ever wondered how clouds form? Or what causes thunder and lightning? Or what’s it like inside a hurricane? Join us to explore the “Wacky World of Weather” with Sandy LaCorte, a local meteorologist and Davidson native.

During this engaging, hands-on event, you will learn about thunderstorms, tornadoes, hurricanes, and preparedness. Kids will also create their own tornado in a bottle to take home, observe a hail-forming demonstration, and weather permitting—venture outside to observe and learn about the different types of clouds.

This outing is for children with their families. The minimum age is 6 years old.
