Join DLC's TreesDavidson team as we host a community tree planting event at Fisher Farm Park in Davidson on October 28th at 9:00 am. We will be planting trees along the greenway leading down from the parking lot. No experience is necessary. Our TreeMasters will provide demos for their teams on proper tree planting techniques.

Trail Master Training

A vital part of conservation efforts is ensuring our local trails are healthy and sustainable. To achieve that we need a network of trail masters that can lead volunteer groups for trail clean-ups. In partnership with Catawba Lands Conservancy and the Carolina Thread Trail, Davidson Lands Conservancy will be hosting training to educate interested citizens.

Fulfill your resolution to volunteer more before it's too late and join us at Fisher Farm Park to do some basic tree work.  Mulch is a new tree’s best friend. It keeps them cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Some of our newer trees need a mulch refresher and other basic care.

Beaty Park Invasive Removal

This is an additional work day at Beaty Park to try and cut back the invasive species. Beaty Park is Davidson's newest park and it's a gorgeous space, but it needs a little love.  A number of invasive species are thriving under the tree canopy and choking out the biodiversity that makes an ecosystem healthy.
