The winner of the 2026 Run For Green logo contest is Giselle Carrasquilla. In addition to having her design featured on the official Run For Green shirt, she also received a $250 prize for her winning submission! Giselle Carrasquilla is a Davidson resident and Charlotte based designer who discovered her passion for art at a young age. Giselle is currently a senior at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte working on her BFA in Graphic Design.
Giselle also works as a graphic designer for both the University and the local PostNet Davidson store and will be interning with Burt’s Bees in Durham this summer. As an artist specializing in mediums such as digital communications and print design, Giselle’s work has been featured in multiple magazines and exhibitions. When not designing, she can be found reading, spending time outside with her two dogs, or at a Charlotte FC game!
The annual logo design contest is a DLC tradition that brings out artists of all ages, and we love seeing the creativity of our community every year! In Giselle’s words, “As a resident of the Lake Norman area for over 10 years, I love this community. Seeing people come together for such a great cause like Davidson Lands Conservancy’s Run For Green is so inspiring and being even a small part of that is an honor!” Thank you to everyone who submitted designs this year, and we can’t wait to see what you come up with for RFG 2027!
Registration is now open for the 21st annual Run For Green on September 26th, 2026! Sign up now for the 5K, 10K, or Half Marathon, featuring refreshed courses and our best post-race celebration yet!
